This tool provides the fastest way to layout all of the different elevations for multiple base layer paver projects. The elevation grooves are spaced to provide string-line measurements for each level of base as recommended by the ICPI. Simply set the tool on any smooth elevation stake at your exact paver finished paver level. The tool will now not need to be moved for the rest of the project! This tool is even specifically designed to leave the pavers slightly high and allow for final compaction settlement back to top of the sleeve.
This tool will save you hours of labor each year! When used with string-lines, it will provide each individual material elevation. By simply moving your string-line to each preset elevation groove, you will have quick and repeatable visual representations of top of gravels, top of sand base and top of paver. Simply run a string line, and set your screed bars for repeatable, accurate results. When a string line gets broken, reset in seconds, instead of needing to remeasure each pin again. If you need to adjust the height, set to new finished paver position, and all base elevations get changed without needing to remeasure or calculate each of the new material grades.
Once your primary excavation is complete throw your tape measure back in the toolbox for the rest of the project. Now your visual string-line elevations can be moved from level to level by the most experienced person on the job-site or the employee that has been there one day, and both with the exact same results and accuracy.
